Hi my name is Candace and I am the proud owner of Paws Inn Toga. I have worked with Animals in various settings for over 16 years now. When I first started working in a local veterinary hospital, I became aware of how many pets would become so stressed out, confused, and sad when being boarded. I began to notice there was a serious lack of comfortable convenient pet care for owners, and most importantly their pets! I began pet sitting in 2006 and have built long lasting, trust worthy relationships with my clients, and their pets. Over the years business grew and that's when I created Paws Inn Toga. I strive for a cage free, stress free pet care. I am educated in various aspects of general animal care. I have also gone through training programs such as but not limited to - Penn Foster Veterinary Technician Program, Continue education in Dog Oral Pathology, Science of the Senses, Natural Pet Supplements, and Pet Philosophy, and continue to expand my studies.
I too am a pet owner who believes my furr-babies are part of my family. I understand the need and desire for trustworthy and caring people to take care of your pet(s). Let Paws Inn Toga be a best friend to your best friend, when you can't be!
"Candace and her team are literally the GREATEST! Could not recommend them enough to watch your pups. They went above and beyond to make sure that my pups were so well cared for during my trip away. They even stopped by my house an additional time the night of my return because my flight was getting in so late. They always provided picture updates (hilarious) and checked in regularly. Seriously, I had zero stress during my time away because they did such an amazing job!" Maggie S
Hi! My name is Shannon and ever since I can remember I’ve wanted to work with animals. Anytime someone asked younger me what I wanted to be when I grew up my answer was always a veterinarian. Though, that course did not pan out for me, I still had a passion for animal care and knew this was the field for me. I started off working as a grooming assistant in 2022 and loved working hands on with every dog that came in! Wanting to get more experience, I then started working as a kennel assistant for a vet office in the fall of 2023 and have been there ever since. My knowledge of animal care has increased tremendously working for a vet office and I pride myself on the love and care I give to the animals that board with me. I have experience with all sizes of dogs, understand the different temperaments and boundaries that comes with each animal and administering medications if and when needed. I have always strived to make each pet as comfortable as possible while with me and treat each one like my own. Having 3 dogs and 3 cats, I understand the importance of trusting someone with the care of my pets. They are family and should be treated as such. My favorite part of working with animals is creating a bond with each one and them getting just as excited to see me as I am them! I can’t wait to have this bond with many of your pets and care for them just like i care for my own!
Hi! My name is Marin and I have had a special connection with animals since I was a kid and my love for them has grown even more over the years. I have a passion for taking care of animals and making sure they are their happiest. My knowledge in Pet Care comes from having my own and taking care of others pets for 10+ years and I have worked with puppies and senior dogs and have experience with both large and small breeds as well. I will always make sure your fuzzy friend is loved as if they are my own. I myself have a Boykin, husky mix who I absolutely love to run around with and cuddle. Aside from pets, I have an interest in psychology and plan to pursue a degree in that field over the next few years.
Hi there! My name is Caitlyn and I am a veteran pet-sitter and longtime animal lover. I've always loved animals. In fact, I can remember pushing around stuffed animals instead of baby dolls in a stroller when I was little. Over the years, I have taken every opportunity I can to pet-sit. I have experience with puppies, older dogs, cats, guinea pigs, lizards- you name it! I also have experience with medically fragile animals, having owned a sweet little maltese, Jingle Belle, with some heart and liver issues herself. I know how important your fuzzy friends are, and I can't wait to treat them with the utmost care! Aside from animals, I just graduated with my degree in Theatre Performance from Wagner College, and spend some time in the city pursuing acting opportunities for TV and Film/ Commercials. I can't wait to get to know you and your pets :).
Hi! I’m Kayla 🙂My journey into the animal world started when I worked at an animal shelter. I gave medications, feed, cleaned and spoiled the cats and dogs. I spoiled the animals so much that they gave me the nickname “Santa Claus”. That really started my love for working my with animals. Animals have always been so important to me, as I feel like they teach and heal us so much. I enjoy giving the same love they give to us back. I decided that animal medicine was a passion of mine and started working at animal hospitals as an assistant. I have a big connection with animals. I do love the Fear Free concept and apply that to all of my work. I have two cats that are harness trained. I really like being outside and hiking, so what better way than to have a little buddy with me! ???
